Thank you. Really interesting. The community I currently work with are passionate about some of your points; and interestingly, they say they want professionals to understand that they do not see themselves as equals, and don’t aspire to be. I battle with the fact that, to some extent, trying to work under this term or principle is disingenuous. Community members without professional roles or status have a unique and very different experience and set of circumstances than most of those who work with them, whatever our starting points may have been.
